Please apply sun cream to your child before school on hot, sunny days. We advise that a high factor is applied (e.g. SPF50). We are able to provide Nivea Kids sun cream SPF50 for children who need to reapply or have outdoor PE in the afternoon. ODA staff can spray the sun cream onto the skin, though children will need to rub the cream in themselves.
If you do NOT wish for sun cream to be reapplied to your child at school due to allergies, please can you let us know by writing to parents@onedegreeacademy.org and telling us you opt out. By opting out, ODA staff will be unable to spray sun cream onto your child in hot weather. On hot days we also suggest children wear a sun hat to protect against the sun.
If you have ordered any class photographs from Kittle to be sent to the school, they have arrived and have been sent home today with your child. Kindly check your child’s school bag at the end of the day to ensure you receive them. If there are any issues, please email Mike at parents@onedegreeacademy.org.

Interested in singing with other adults in the ODA community, including staff and other parents/carers? At ODA we are all about giving things a go and looking at how we can add value to our community. We are excited to say that one of our parent governors, Adeola, has agreed to use her musical skills to support us with a taster singing event to see if a regular ODA Adult Choir may be of interest.
The Adult Choir Taster Session will take place on Wednesday 1st July. Please help us to make the event a success by completing the following form, where you can tell us about your interest level, if you will be coming to the event and, if so, what time would work best. Thank you for your help!
