Enrichment Curriculum

One Degree Academy is committed to nurturing well-rounded students through a robust core curriculum complemented by a dynamic enrichment programme. Students benefit from over 33.5 hours per week of structured learning and enrichment activities.

Our innovative enrichment curriculum fosters whole-child development with engaging, school-day activities and a diverse selection of afterschool clubs. These include offerings such as chess and choir, provided at no additional cost. Additionally, students can explore a variety of sports and arts activities during lunchtime, encouraging participation and school pride through sports like mixed football and netball.

Afterschool clubs range from gymnastics and dance to cooking, construction, and art, all offered at a subsidised rate, with additional discounts available for pupil premium students to ensure inclusivity.

To build cultural capital, One Degree Academy provides unique experiences that broaden students’ perspectives. These include cultural events and excursions, from a movie and sleepover for KS1 students to a canal boat overnight, camping trips, and a five-day residential experience for KS2. Public speaking, museum trips, and visits to parks further enrich students' understanding of their communities and the world.
