Parent/Carer Logins
We use several online systems to help you stay connected with your child’s education.
Below, you'll find a summary of the key systems used for each year group, along with guides to help you as a parent/carer log in. It’s important that all parents/carers can access these systems. If you need assistance, please read the guides first and then email the main office at parents@onedegreeacademy.org — we’ll be happy to help.
Students also have logins for various online learning platforms, which are detailed at the bottom of each year group section.
Home Learning Expectations
EYFS (Nursery and Reception)
Reading for 10 minutes daily
- 3 mins: child reads to adult (Phonics book when sent home - read every night until the next one is sent as repetition is important)
- 7 mins: free choice story book adult reads to child asking questions
Mathletics - 10 minutes daily (or 1,000 points weekly)
Tapestry
- Watch weekly video & complete ‘Tapestry Challenge’
- Upload own ‘wow’ moments from home
Boromi - sign up online
KS1 (Years 1 and 2)
Reading for 15 minutes daily
- 5 mins: child reads to adult (Phonics book when sent home - read every night until the next one is sent as repetition is important)
- 10 mins: free choice story book read together
Mathletics - 10 minutes daily (or 1,000 points weekly)
Knowledge Organisers - 3 minutes (mix the subjects over the week)
Spelling Task

KS2: Years 3, 4 & 5
Reading - 20 minutes (can be independent, but better if children are reading aloud to help with unfamiliar words and understanding)
Mathletics - 10 minutes daily (or 1,000 points weekly)
TTRS - 5 mins (Garage & Sound Check)
Knowledge Organisers - 3 minutes (mix subjects over the week)

KS2: Year 6
Reading for 20 minutes (should mostly be independent, but at least once a week should be encouraged to read to an adult or older sibling)
Sats Companion
- complete weekly tasks set
- Explore other tasks they find tricky (including Science tasks)
TTRS - 5 minutes daily (garage section)
Knowledge Organisers - 3 minutes (mix subjects over the week)

All year groups
MyChildAtSchool (MCAS) (Website and app)
MCAS is our main parent app. It provides the following for parents:
- update your contact information
- view details about your child
- consent to and sign up for school trips for your child
- purchase spare ties and additional water bottles
- sign up and make payments (we do not accept cash) for after school clubs and breakfast club
We believe no student should be prevented from having the correct uniform or taking part in extracurricular activities. At One Degree, we heavily subsidise trips and clubs, particularly for pupil premium families. Please email parents@onedegreeacademy.org for more information about the support One Degree Academy can provide.

Nursery
Eadmissions – The government’s online system for applying for a Reception place at One Degree Academy. Ensure you apply for a reception place before January.
Nursery and Reception
Tapestry - Available both as a website and app, Tapestry provides an online journal for parents to see progress of their child at Nursery and Reception ages. It also allows parents to load their own observations from home about their child’s progress.
You will be sent your login details by One Degree Academy after you have joined the school
Boromi - A home-learning play resource. Login to MCAS to sign up to gain access to this resource.
Mathletics - An interactive maths home learning platform. Login details at the back of your child’s home learning diary.
Childcare choices - Use this to check eligibility and access 30hr childcare vouchers for Nursery.
Years 1 and 2
