Clubs & Wraparound Care
Subsidised Breakfast club from 7:35 - 8:20am
One Degree operates a breakfast club from 7:35 am with last entry at 8:05 am. Due to restrictions, places may be limited and will be allocated according to need. Please contact the school with any queries. We are able to offer a free breakfast club to pupil premium families. There will be a small charge of £2 per day for KS1 and KS2 non pupil premium children and £2.50 per day for EYFS non pupil premium children. Payment should be made in advance via MCAS.
Home Learning Expectations
EYFS (Nursery and Reception)
Reading for 10 minutes daily
- 3 mins: child reads to adult (Phonics book when sent home - read every night until the next one is sent as repetition is important)
- 7 mins: free choice story book adult reads to child asking questions
Mathletics - 10 minutes daily (or 1,000 points weekly)
Tapestry
- Watch weekly video & complete ‘Tapestry Challenge’
- Upload own ‘wow’ moments from home
Boromi - sign up online
KS1 (Years 1 and 2)
Reading for 15 minutes daily
- 5 mins: child reads to adult (Phonics book when sent home - read every night until the next one is sent as repetition is important)
- 10 mins: free choice story book read together

Knowledge Organisers - 3 minutes (mix the subjects over the week)

One Degree Academy extra-curricular clubs
One Degree is proud to offer a wide variety of extra-curricular after school clubs such as Chess, Street Dance, Musical Theatre, Fencing, Spanish, Football, Basketball, Construction, Arts & Crafts, Art, Gymnastics, Lacrosse and Yoga to name a few! Our extra-curricular club offer runs throughout each term from Monday to Thursday.
Wraparound care until 6:00pm
An external partner, Lavender Blu, provides wraparound care for working parents/carers. Lavender Blu are available to call weekdays from 1pm- 6pm on 07985725413. Alternatively you can email info@lavenderblu.uk or visit lavenderblu.uk
Prices range from £10 - £15 per day depending how regularly you require the service and until what time.
Wraparound care is also available on a Wednesday afternoon when school finishes at the earlier time.
Places are limited and must be booked in advance. Please ensure you have received confirmation of your place before you attend.
