At One Degree Academy, we pride ourselves on being inclusive. We have many students with a broad range of additional educational needs and disabilities that add to our vibrant and inclusive community.

We have high expectations for every student at One Degree Academy and we believe that all students should have access to the full curriculum on offer. This means that we work hard to make our curriculum accessible to all and that we keep time spent out of the classroom, for example in interventions, to a minimum. ODA Staff are provided with regular professional development to support them to make our classrooms inclusive and to ensure that the quality of our teaching and learning supports all students to achieve their potential, regardless of their AEN. We do not provide 1:1 support for AEN children, unless indicated by an EHCP, as we strive to prepare them for their next stage of education and beyond.

For more information on inclusion at the academy, please read our SEND policies, found on our policies page, here
