📈 Data & Planning Days - 28 November & 1 December 2025
While the school has been shut to students today, staff have been analysing the assessments your children have completed over the last week. The analysis of assessment data at ODA is very detailed—literally on a question-by-question basis! We will then use this data on Monday to put plans in place to address any gaps in your child’s learning. We believe that staff investing time in this way ensures progress for all students and results in our consistently impressive outcomes at ODA. #ProudlyDifferent
🥣 Breakfast Club - Spring 1 Term
Please see this letter, which contains sign-up details for Spring Term 1 Breakfast Club (7 January-13 February), along with key dates and prices. As the letter mentions, bookings will go live on Monday 1st December at 6:00pm via MCAS and will close on Friday 5th December at noon.
🧸 Our Nursery’s January 2026 Intake Is Open!
We’re excited to announce that we have a few more spaces available in our Nursery. Applications for our January 2026 intake are now open.
Families who wish to apply for a Nursery place are kindly asked to submit their completed application forms by Friday, 5th December 2025.

📋 Attendance at ODA
Every parent/carer will receive a personalised letter explaining why good attendance is so important for your child’s learning and future opportunities. There’s no need to contact the school office in response to this email but it is important that you read the letter carefully.
💜 Uniform - Winter Accessories
As the colder weather approaches, we’ve noticed an increase in accessories that do not meet ODA’s uniform expectations. Please ensure that all accessories such as hats, scarves, gloves and earmuffs match the school colours. For more information, please refer to the uniform page on our school website.
📚 Scholastic Book Fair
We are delighted that the Book Fair will be coming to One Degree for the first time this academic year! Research indicates that reading for pleasure is a huge contributor to a student’s future success; it leads to better academic performance, higher self-esteem and improved cognitive and emotional well-being.
There will be a range of titles available (with many at discounted prices) so please do come along and browse the books! The book fair will run from Friday 5th December to Wednesday 10th December in The Studio. It will be open on Friday, Monday and Tuesday from 3:30 to 4pm and on Wednesday from 2 to 2:30pm.
Year groups are invited to browse the fair on their specific days to avoid the fair being overcrowded:
- Friday 5th December - Nursery and Reception
- Monday 8th December - Year 1 and 2
- Tuesday 9th December - Year 3 and 4
- Wednesday 10th December - Year 5 and 6
🪀 Tilly and Taj Tots
If you have a child who is under three, we would love to welcome you to join us each Wednesday 8:20-9:30am for Tilly and Taj Tots, a stay and play session for under-3s. Please email the school office (parents@onedegreeacademy.org) if you would like more details and to attend.

☃️ Winter HAF Programme (Free School Meal Parents/Carers)
We would like to inform you that as part of Enfield Council’s Holiday Activities and Food Programme (HAF), children in receipt of benefits related to Free School Meals (FSM) will be able to access free holiday camps and activities during the winter school holidays.
Activities will include a range of sports and physical activities, enrichment activities, healthy living activities and lunch each day. You can book to attend up to 4 sessions, choosing between the 22nd, 23rd, 29th, 30th & 31st December 2025.
The HAF vouchers have been emailed out to all eligible families on Tuesday 25th November 2025. Please note, the email will not be from One Degree Academy.
