School Tours - Reception 2026
One Degree Academy will be holding school tours for our Reception 2026 intake from 9.00am to 10.00am on Tuesday, 9th December.

♫ Christmas Concerts
The Christmas season is here! And as always, we will be doing our annual Christmas Concerts. We would love for you all to attend and celebrate the hard work the children have been putting into their songs and poems.
Please see the calendar on our website for the dates and times that the children will be performing in the main hall. We look forward to seeing you there!
🎄 Christmas Jumper Donation
On the last day of term, we have lots of festive fun planned! Children are invited to wear their Christmas jumpers, and we’ll all be enjoying a special Christmas lunch together.
If you have any children’s Christmas jumpers at home that are no longer needed, we would be very grateful for any donations. Please bring them to the school office, ensuring they are clean and in good condition.
📚 Scholastic Book Fair
We are delighted that the Book Fair will be coming to One Degree for the first time this academic year! Research indicates that reading for pleasure is a huge contributor to a student’s future success; it leads to better academic performance, higher self-esteem and improved cognitive and emotional well-being.
There will be a range of titles available (with many at discounted prices) so please do come along and browse the books! The book fair will run from Friday 5th December to Wednesday 10th December in The Studio. It will be open on Friday, Monday and Tuesday from 3:30 to 4pm and on Wednesday from 2 to 2:30pm.
Year groups are invited to browse the fair on their specific days to avoid the fair being overcrowded:
- Friday 5th December - Nursery and Reception
- Monday 8th December - Year 1 and 2
- Tuesday 9th December - Year 3 and 4
- Wednesday 10th December - Year 5 and 6
🎭⚽ ODA After School Clubs - Spring Term
The details of our ODA After School Club offer will be shared with you in an email. If you would like to book your child into a club in January, please ensure you see the letter attached to the email for sign-up details.
🪀 Tilly and Taj Tots
Thank you so much to all those who joined our under-3s session this half term! We’ve loved having you with us. Although there are no more sessions until the new year, we’re already looking forward to welcoming you back to Tilly & Taj Tots after the break. As usual, please stay up-to-date by reading the Bulletin.

Boromi Bags
If you were given a Boromi bag, please return it to the main office by Monday morning (8 December 2025) at drop-off. We’ll be refreshing and sending them out again in the new year.
🚧 Ongoing Roadworks
There are currently roadworks going on outside of the school that are likely to cause road disruption. Please be extra mindful and ensure you leave sufficient time for your journey, and as always there is neither parking nor drop-off directly outside of the building. Thank you for your attention.
