🫶 Student Safety

A big thank you to the vast majority of our parents who continue to follow the Home-School Agreement by walking and escorting their children to the school gate or door. Your support plays a big part in keeping our school community safe and welcoming.

At ODA, we work hard to ensure that every student starts their day with a warm, positive experience as they arrive at school - feeling happy, safe and ready to learn. You can help extend that feeling outside the school gates too, by continuing to:

  • Escort your child all the way to the appropriate school door or gate
  • Park safely away from the school site, avoiding Hunters Way and Chase Village Road to reduce congestion
  • Help your child cross roads safely if needed

Our staff are here to help ensure a smooth and safe arrival for all our children. If we ever observe anything that may put a child at risk, we are required to treat this as a safeguarding concern.

Thank you for your continued cooperation in making ODA a safe and joyful place to start each school day!

☕ Nursery and Reception Coffee Morning

We would love to welcome parents of Nursery and Reception to join us for our first coffee morning on Friday 17th October. This session will be led by Maria and will have a focus on Play and Talk, and will include an opportunity to practise these ideas with your child. We look forward to seeing you there!

🧩 Boromi

We are so excited to be launching our Play Libraries! Boromi is an opt-in part of our Nursery and Reception Home Learning offer. Please look out on MCAS if you would like to sign your child up.

🔠 Phonics

There have been some questions regarding Phonics in Year 1. Please see attached guidance, which should clarify these questions.

🌱 Nursery Places

We do not currently have any spaces in our Nursery. If you would like to be notified when spaces arise and when applications open, then please complete our Expression of Interest form here (and on our website). This will mean that our team will contact you when any places become available and applications go live.
