The School Day
Drop-off and Pick-up Times and Procedures
Morning Drop-off
Drop-off in the morning, including Breakfast Club, takes place at the Main Office entrance at the front of the school.
Afternoon Pick-up
Please collect students from the rear playground at the end of the day. To improve pedestrian access and flow of parents through the site, a one way system is in place. Entry is from the gate on Chace Village Road and exit is via the gate on Huntersway.
Please note there is no parking available for pick-up or drop-off.
Home Learning Expectations
EYFS (Nursery and Reception)
Reading for 10 minutes daily
- 3 mins: child reads to adult (Phonics book when sent home - read every night until the next one is sent as repetition is important)
- 7 mins: free choice story book adult reads to child asking questions
Mathletics - 10 minutes daily (or 1,000 points weekly)
Tapestry
- Watch weekly video & complete ‘Tapestry Challenge’
- Upload own ‘wow’ moments from home
Boromi - sign up online
KS1 (Years 1 and 2)
Reading for 15 minutes daily
- 5 mins: child reads to adult (Phonics book when sent home - read every night until the next one is sent as repetition is important)
- 10 mins: free choice story book read together
Mathletics - 10 minutes daily (or 1,000 points weekly)
Knowledge Organisers - 3 minutes (mix the subjects over the week)

Reading - 20 minutes (can be independent, but better if children are reading aloud to help with unfamiliar words and understanding)

Reading for 20 minutes (should mostly be independent, but at least once a week should be encouraged to read to an adult or older sibling)

- Explore other tasks they find tricky (including Science tasks)

Knowledge Organisers - 3 minutes (mix subjects over the week)

Nursery
- Drop off: 8:20am - 8:30am. Doors close at 8:30am.
- Pick up: 15:30pm from the Nursery playground (13:55 on Wed)
Reception
- Drop off: Soft start from 8:20am - 8:30am. Doors close at 8:30am
- Pick up: 15:30 (14:00 on Wed)
Year 1 & 2 (KS1)
- Drop off: Soft start from 8:20am - 8:30am. Doors close at 8:30am
- Pick up: 15:30 (14:00 on Wed)
Year 3, 4, 5, & 6 (KS2)
- Drop off: Soft start from 8:20am - 8:30am. Doors close at 8:30am
- Pick up: 15:40 (14:10 on Wed)
Please note the earlier Wednesday finish time. Childcare is available through Lavender Blu for families who need it.
