We are thrilled that you are considering a visit to One Degree Academy. Our door is open to educators, school leaders, and those passionate about education. At One Degree Academy, we take pride in our distinctive approach to learning, and we are excited to share this with you. During your visit, you will have the opportunity to witness our culture in action, observe our lessons and explore what sets us apart.
Our visits are an opportunity to immerse yourself in our school environment, interact with students and observe how we bring our ethos to life. We are committed to making your visit as insightful as possible while keeping our school community safe, so we ask that you refrain from taking photographs unless granted prior permission. You will likely have the chance to meet with students and gain a deeper understanding of the values and teaching methods that define One Degree Academy.
Arranging Your Visit
Parents/Carers
Our regular visits are only open to to educators, school leaders and those passionate about education. If you are a parent/carer looking to apply, visits may be offered during the In-Year Admissions process (please view our apply page for more details) and our Reception Opening Mornings in November and December, which will be announced on this page in advance.
Educators, School Leaders and Those Passionate About Education
Visits to One Degree Academy typically take place on Fridays from 12:15 to 2:45 pm. To register your interest, please fill out the form at the bottom of this page. Due to the high volume of enquiries, we are unable to accommodate specific date requests or tailor visits to individual preferences. Once your registration is received, we will confirm the Friday you can attend.
During your visit, you will:
- Tour the school and observe our classroom environments.
- Speak with students to hear their experiences.
- Witness a celebration assembly, where our school community comes together to recognise achievements.
- Observe lessons across different subjects (each observation lasts 15 minutes, before moving on to the next classroom).
- Engage in a Q&A session with our staff, where you can ask about our ethos, curriculum and teaching practices.
Our visits are designed to give you a comprehensive understanding of what makes One Degree Academy a truly special place for both students and staff.
Steplab, Teach First, Ambition and North West London Teaching School Hub
We regularly host visits from partner organisations, such as Steplab, Teachfirst, Ambition and North West London Teaching School Hub. If you plan to attend a visit as a delegate with these organisations, please do not fill out the form below and instead contact these organisations directly for information about a visit.
