STRIVE Fest is just around the corner, and we can't wait to celebrate in true ODA style on Wednesday 15th July, 2:30-4PM!
Come and enjoy the fun activities, fantastic food and, of course, amazing face painting!
Want to skip the wait? Sign-up by Monday 22nd June 2026 for priority face painting and get ready to sparkle and shine! Our goal is to complete as many children as possible before STRIVE Fest begins at 2:30PM. Any children not finished before the start will be prioritised once the event is underway. Children will be able to choose from a selection of designs on the day.
Remember to bring lots of water, suncream, etc. - it may be hot!
One of the things that makes this festival so special is the incredible array of food donations from families for our buffet. If you are able to donate any home-cooked delights, please fill out the short survey by clicking here and we will be in touch.
Stay tuned for more exciting details to come!

Thank you to everyone who attended either the Zoom or the in-person meeting about exploring whether ODA will be joining AIM Academies Trust. Don't worry if you couldn't attend; we will be sending out a recording as well as writing up answers to the questions submitted in both sessions next week.
Please add any additional questions to the Google Form here or speak to Jo directly.
The Government has recently expanded certain eligibility requirements so that more families may now qualify for financial support from ODA.
We encourage all parents and carers to complete our eligibility check, even if you do not think you qualify. The process is quick, confidential and could provide valuable benefits for your child.
To check your eligibility, please complete the form here (please note, although the form mentions Free School Meals, it helps us establish wider benefits beyond what that implies): https://fsm.lgfl.net/app
While school is shut to students, staff use these days to analyse the assessments your children have completed over the last week. The analysis of assessment data at ODA is very detailed—literally on a question-by-question basis! We then use this data to put plans in place to address the gaps identified before the end of the year. We believe that staff investing time in this way ensures progress for all students and results in our consistently amazing outcomes at ODA. #ProudlyDifferent
This past Tuesday, 24 of our top Key Stage 2 athletes took part in the annual Enfield District Sports Athletics event at the Lee Valley Athletics Stadium. Made up of students from Year 3 to Year 6, the group represented ODA fantastically on the day and showed plenty of #effort in all of their races.
A huge thank you to Melvyn and Santasia for leading the Athletics Team and a big thank you to all of the parents and carers who supported the ODA team!
Interested in singing with other adults in the ODA community, including staff and other parents/carers? At ODA we are all about giving things a go and looking at how we can add value to our community. We are excited to say that one of our parent governors, Adeola, has agreed to use her musical skills to support us with a taster singing event to see if a regular ODA Adult Choir may be of interest.
The Adult Choir Taster Session will take place on Wednesday 1st July. Please help us to make the event a success by completing the following form, where you can tell us about your interest level, if you will be coming to the event and, if so, what time would work best. Thank you for your help!
Please see the following flyers, including one regarding Enfield Council’s Online Extended Antenatal Offer session. Sessions will be held on 25 June 2026, followed by the 2nd session on 2 July 2026.
If you need any further information, please contact the team by emailing antenataloffer@enfield.gov.uk.
Ultra Sport will be running fun-filled summer activities during the summer holidays. Please see the flyer (jpeg / pdf) and application form if you would like your child to attend.
ChessFest takes place on 12th July from 12-7pm this year, with lots of fun, family-friendly chess in the open air of Trafalgar Square. No booking required - just turn up! And Hari, the Chess Teacher, will be around on the day as well. Check out this flyer for more details.
