One Degree Academy Consultation on proposed admission arrangements for 2027/2028

One Degree Academy (The Adnan Jaffery Academy Trust) is consulting on the update to our Admissions arrangements for 2027/28 to take account of the move to our permanent site at Chase Farm and to reflect the current local circumstances of the school.

We are consulting on and have made the following changes:

1. Reflecting Our Structure: We are removing the secondary school Published Admission Number (PAN) to formally record that One Degree Academy is currently a primary-only provision. We are also adjusting the nursery PAN to align with our site capacity and working with the Enfield Local Authority, reducing our reception PAN to 60.
2. Prioritising those most in need: We are updating our oversubscription criteria to reflect our local context by including children eligible for Free School Meals (FSM). This addition reflects government changes in FSM criterion expected in 2026 and ensures we continue to support disadvantaged families who may no longer qualify for 'Pupil Premium' due to frozen government thresholds.
3. Simpler Language: Following legal review, we have updated the policy to ensure it is objective and written in plain English, making it easier for parents to understand.

The consultation will take place for a period of seven weeks, between 1st December 2025 and 16th January 2026.

The consultation is being communicated by One Degree Academy as follows:

• Via our website to the general public, parents and local schools
• Via email to our local authority, the London Borough of Enfield
• Via email to local schools for the attention of head teachers and Chairs of governors in the London Borough of Enfield

On conclusion of the consultation on 16th January 2026, all responses received will be collated and presented to The Board of Trustees (The Adnan Jaffery Academy Trust) in late January 2026 for full consideration.

The outcome of the consultation will then be notified to all parents by early February 2026 and the full report will be posted on One Degree Academy’s website.
